I am back

I thought of giving up blogging.... no it was'nt boring... it was real fun, but thought there are more important things in life to do.
But a couple of recent happenings pulled me back into writing, and so is the post below.
So guys.... get ready and check this space regularly for some good updates from me in my second innings :)

Finally they made me happy

The issue had troubled me since my high school days; the issue of reservations in educational institutions against various quotas SC/ST, minority class, female quota, NRI quota and all that shit.
I totally disliked it and thought how they can compromise education on basis of those things. What will happen if say a guy having a privilege of any of this quota qualifies MBBS entrance seeking minimal merit or rather below minimal merit and finally graduates as a Doctor? Will he give an excuse at the operation theatre that he cannot treat the patient as he failed to pass on that particular skill/knowledge and was graduated by luck because of the quota?
I understand that these class of people are poor and so need support, but they need monetary support – give them book bank facility, waive off the fees etc. but why reduce the required minimal percentage for these guys? The selection to admission of any education should be purely on merit basis and there should be no second thought on this.

Why Should I Pay Taxes?

I was just thinking on a similar line, “Why Should I Pay Taxes?” the other day and here comes the post from an old friend letting his thoughts on the same road as traveled by mine.
The CVC Report projects the height of corruption that has infiltrated the country. The Indian Army, which is the most trusted part, is all infected by this growing plaque. CVC Report shows Millions of dollars drained into the corrupt minister’s pocket. If this is the way government has decided to utilize My Money then Why Should I Pay Taxes?
Few days before I was reading that Arjun Munda ministry ordered about 20 bullet proof Tata Safari’s for their officials, which cost to Crores of Rupees. The amount which could have been utilized to build about 140 houses under Indira Vikash Yojna. The poor are now devoid of their houses because the money was spent in catering to the luxury of the corrupt ministers. No sooner did these ministers came into power, they got their house renovated. If this is the way government has decided to utilize My Money then Why Should I Pay Taxes?

Ganguly.... poor chap

Ganguly was just 46 runs short of joining the exclusive club of batsmen who have scored 10,000 runs in one-day internationals, but his poor run of form and now the ban imposed on him for the next 6 ODI has made him to wait longer. Before the beginning of this series he would have surely dreamt of getting himself into this elite club before the series ends.
The matter could be even worst if the things goes in as is said by Gaurav Sabnis

Ind Vs Pak at Keenan

Come Saturday and India will play Pakistan on Keenan Stadium, Jamshedpur. I Just wish I could be there to watch the team play, especially after all that blastering knocks from Dhoni and Veeru at Vizag.

Keenan Stadium has a history that the Indian Team lost all matches that they played there so far except one.
Keenan stadium in Jamshedpur hosted its first international ODI back in 1983.

It took a few rules of vaastu and swapping of the dressing rooms of the visitors with that of the hosts, for India to register their first victory at the ground.

Whether it was luck or vaastu, the Indians managed to break the Keenan jinx, so called because the hosts had never won a match on their seven earlier encounters at the stadium.

QUIZ : Can you answer When and With whom did India won that memorable match?
